Board of Directors 2009 - 2011

| The FVE Board consists of a President, a Treasurer
and three Vice Presidents. The Presidents and its Board are elected
for two years and can be re-elected once. The FVE Board meets several
times a year to discuss current issues and FVE's strategy. |

Markus-Cizelj has been since June 2007 Vice-President of the
Brussels-based Federation of Veterinarians of Europe (FVE), the
umbrella organisation of veterinary organisations from 38 European
countries which represents the veterinary profession in Europe.
She graduated in Veterinary Medicine in 1980 from the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, University of Zagreb. In 1979 and 1980 she worked as a specialist in Laboratory for Infectious Diseases (equine infectious anaemia). From 1980 to 1995 she worked for PLIVA d.d. Research Institute as a laboratory specialist in biological products. In 1995 she was promoted to be coordinator for Registration of biological products, a position that she carried out until 2000. She obtained a PhD from the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine in Zagreb in 1996. From 2001 she became Head of Regulatory Afairs for Veterina Ltd.
She was elected as Vice-President of the Croatian Veterinary Society
in 2001 and was re-elected in 2005. She has represented the Croatian
Veterinary Society in the FVE since 1997 and was elected as Secretary
of the FVE section EVERI (European Veterinarians in Education, Research
and Industry). She was elected as Vice-President of FVE in June
2007 and re-elected in May 2009. In November 2009 the EVERI GA elected
her EVERI President.
Dr Markus-Cizelj is in charge of issues concerning EU enlargement,
European Diversity and the cooperation with TAIEX.
