Board of Directors 2009 - 2011

| The FVE Board consists of a President, a Treasurer
and three Vice Presidents. The President and its Board are elected
for two years and can be re-elected once. The FVE Board meets several
times a year to discuss current issues and FVE's strategy. |

Christophe
Buhot has been since May 2009 Vice-President of the Brussels-based
Federation of Veterinarians of Europe (FVE), the umbrella organisation
of veterinary organisations from 38 European countries which represents
the veterinary profession in Europe.
He graduated in Veterinary Medicine in 1984 from the Ecole Nationale
Vétérinaire de Toulouse (France) and obtained a doctor
degree in 1986. In 1991 he was granted a certificate of specialized
studies in ophthalmology.
During his studies of veterinary medicine and after graduation,
Christophe Buhot worked in a large animal practice in Ambazac (France),
in a mixed practice in Gaillac (France) and in various canine practices
in Arcachon and Bordeaux (France).
In 1987 he established his own mixed practice in Castelnau de Médoc
near Bordeaux. In 1993 a partner joined the practice in which currently
mainly small animals are being treated.
Christophe Buhot is board member and treasurer of the SNVEL (Syndicat
National des Vétérinaires d'Exercice Libéral),
the French association of practitioners in Paris, since 1998. 2001
- 2005 he joined the Board of the Union of European Veterinary Practitioners
(UEVP) as Secretary General and in 2005 he was elected President
of UEVP. In 2007 he was re-elected as UEVP President and in May
2009 the FVE General Assembly elected him as FVE Vice-President.
In the FVE board he is responsible for the topics on Animal Health,
Education and the veterinary week.
